Here is some information courtesy of Ann Shirley to help you gain or change employment if you are unsatisfied with your current employment.

Employment Resources

When looking for a job, one of the most helpful things to do is register with the Alabama Career Center. This state agency is a great resource, providing a variety of services including:

  • Job search workshops
  • Job referral
  • Career exploration
  • Resume development
  • On the job training
  • Skills training

In addition, the Career Centers have veteran representatives, who are also veterans, that work with veterans to assist with job placement and/or training.
And, veterans have priority for job placement and training opportunities.

To register with the employment service you can go online to:

www.joblink.alabama.gov

Or, go to the Career Center office in your county.
